Leaders from China and India are set to participate in the BRICS summit in Russia from October 22 to 23. Chinese President Xi Jinping’s attendance was confirmed by state television CCTV on Friday. During his visit, Xi will join the leaders’ meeting, expert dialogues, and various activities, facilitating in-depth discussions with fellow leaders about the current international landscape, as stated by spokesperson Mao Ning during a regular news briefing.
Mao further emphasized that China is eager to collaborate with all parties to enhance BRICS cooperation, aiming to usher in a new era of unity and self-reliance within the Global South, while jointly promoting peace and development globally.
